Polsat CFO extends responsibilities
Polish broadcaster Polsat Group’s chief financial officer, Tomasz Szeląg, has been made a member of the supervisory boards across the companies of parent company Solorz-Zak Group.
Szeląg, who is already a member of the supervisory board of free-to-air TV arm Telewizja Polsat Sp. z oo, ZE PAK SA and Plus Bank SA, will now also serve on the boards of pay TV operator Cyfrowy Polsat SA and telecom arm Polkomtel Sp. z.oo..
As part of the change, Szeląg will no longer serve on the separate management boards of Cyfrowy Polsat and Polkomtel. His place will be take by former deputy Katarzyna Ostap-Tomann, who already sits on the management board of Telewizja Polsat.
The changes will take effect on October 1.
Solorz-Zak Group chairman Zygmunt Solorz-Zak said that the changes refelected a view that financial supervision would most effectively be realised by the supervisory boards, which have responsibility for corporate governance, rather than the management boards.
