British Basketball League signs TV rights deals with Bally Sports and Fubo Sports
British Basketball League has secured broadcasting deals with TV operators Bally Sports and Fubo Sports, deepening its coverage across North America.
Bally Sports will air two weekly British Basketball League games, scheduled for Thursday and Friday starting from today. The tournament will feature across the Bally Sports RSNs, with games live-streamed via the company’s OTT platform Bally Sports+ and available on demand through the Bally Sports app.
Fubo Sports is also streaming a selection of weekend games in the US and Canada, with additional British Basketball League content launching on Fubo Sports’ YouTube channel from this month.
The deal sees the sports body expand its coverage in the US, following its recent signed agreement NBC Sports Regional Networks (RSN) in October 2023, providing coverage of the 2023/24 season across select territories in the US.
Commenting on both partnerships, British Basketball League chief executive officer, Aaron Radin, said: “This partnership with Bally Sports signifies yet another big step in the growth and global appeal of our League. We’re excited to showcase the competitiveness of British basketball to Bally Sports audiences and create connections with sports fans in the US through the incredible reach of their regional networks.”
He added, “The British Basketball League is excited to bring its high-quality content to Fubo Sports that showcases the skill, passion, and excitement that define British basketball. This partnership marks a significant step forward in expanding the global footprint of the League and elevating the profile of British basketball on the international stage.”
