Gambling Platform taps Appear to deliver live sports betting content

Solutions provider for media processing and content delivery, Appear, has been chosen by a premier online gambling platform in North America to deliver live sports content to subscribers across the continent.

The gambling platform will leverage Appear’s X20 platform for content processing, low latency transport and multi codec support to ensure seamless feeds can reach multiple destinations, simultaneously for customers in real-time.

The gambling service previously partnered with Appear for the launch of its live channels via the tech outfit’s new cloud-based playout platform.

Appear’s SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) gateway product will also be deployed to support both ground-to-cloud and cloud-to-ground workflows, enabling the gambling platform to efficiently manage its content delivery processes.

The deployment encompasses of 18 channels of HEVC encoding, supporting SD/HD/UHD resolutions with low delay mode for ground-to-cloud contribution. Along with 35 channels of HEVC decoding, designed for cloud-to-ground contribution, these decoders include seven UHD decoders to meet the demands of high-quality content delivery. Joined by 4 JPEG XS encoders and decoders in readiness for future use cases and applications. In addition with a SRT capable platform for distribution.
