WBD unveils winter sports coverage, including FIS Alpine Ski World Cup
Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has unveiled its winter sports programming featuring on its streaming hub on discovery+ and European sport broadcaster Eurosport, including coverage of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup.
Programming kicks off with the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup taking place in Austria on 28 October, followed by 600 live races and figure skating events comprising 1,100 hours across the season.
The winter sport events will be available to viewers across Europe and Asia (excluding the Nordics and Japan) on discovery+ and the Eurosport App, with television coverage on Eurosport’s channels. It sees a 35% increase in live linear hours compared to last year’s coverage of the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.
Eurosport will house behind-the-scenes content, with its programming, editorial and digital offering to showcase exclusive insights.
The FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup and the FIS Park & Pipe Snowboard World Cup are already underway.
WBD will also host winter sports content from ISU Speed Skating World Cup, FIS Cross-Country World Cup, FIS Ski Jumping World Cup, IBU Biathlon World Cup, FIS Alpine Snowboard World Cup, FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup, FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Cup, IBU Biathlon World Championships, ISU Figure Skating World Championships and World Curling Federation World Championships.
