TIME to debut FAST channel on Amazon Freevee
The global media giant TIME, is to enter into the FAST market, with the company to debut its FAST channel on Amazon Freevee.
Powered by the journalism brand and its premium digital video division, TIME will showcase news coverage, profiles, interviews, documentaries and more, starring TIME’s journalists and producers who will cover global news topics. With content of TIME’s franchises and events, such as the TIME100, Person of the Year, Women of the Year and TIME100 Talks.
The new channel will launch ahead of the TIME100 Next Gala in NYC on October 24, featuring red carpet reporting and event content from the annual gala that celebrates the 100 rising stars across business, entertainment, sports, politics, health, science, activism and more.
The TIME channel will house a slate of new programming, including TIME Reports that features stories about the people, places, and news events hosted by TIME journalists. TIME Docs will showcase short documentaries of important topics from filmmakers across the world. Profiles in TIME includes interviews with the world’s most influential figures from Bill Gates to Angelina Jolie. World News delivers breaking news and analysis of the major global events of the day. Politics & Ideas provides stories about politics, public policy, elections, social justice, and civil rights, with voices and perspectives of newsmakers and thought leaders from around the world.
Additionally, TIME for Health & Science will show stories about innovations and breakthroughs in science, health, technology, and climate. TIME Off will focus on pop culture, entertainment industry news, and viral moments. World News, Politics and Ideas features daily coverage of world news, politics, and impactful ideas. Lastly, TIME Documentaries and Film will air feature-length films and series from its production division TIME Studios.
The 24/7 TIME channel is managed in partnership with media technology provider Amagi.
