IP Österreich taps smartclip for digital cross-platform advertising
RTL Group-owned Austrian cross-media advertising sales house IP Österreich is extending its partnership with Smartclip, RTL Group’s ad-tech development unit, to jointly advance digital cross-platform advertising for the Austrian market.
IP Österreich recently migrated to smartclip’s full ad-tech stack to deliver its total video strategy, meaning the combination of digital video and addressable live linear TV.
This expansion comes after IP Österreich launched its linear live addressable TV offer based on the smartclip addressable TV solution.
Walter Zinggl, managing director IP Österreich, said: “We already successfully made granular targeting for Austrian TV audiences possible with smartclip’s Addressable TV solution. Now it is time to deepen our joint endeavours. This latest integration with their complete tech stack is a key step to provide our customers with ad solutions that meet their needs, allowing them to monetise video content across all devices through traditional direct and programmatic sales channels. Technological advances have changed the way we consume media — leading to increasingly fragmented audiences. smartclip’s cross screen adtech proposition is the only solution that allows us to coordinate advertising cohesively across online and TV.”
Thomas Servatius, co-CEO of smartclip, said: “We are pleased to embark on this new chapter of our collaboration, where our cutting-edge products and expertise are combined with the diverse media offerings of IP Österreich. As a trusted technology partner with a sharp focus on addressing European needs, this partnership represents an opportunity to provide new solutions for their local clients. At the same time, we are able to leverage our strong position in the DACH region and enhance our European presence by offering unique international monetisation solutions.”
