ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 to air to more than 20 markets
The International Cricket Council has unveiled its broadcast arrangements for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, with the tournament reaching more than 20 markets.
The Men’s Cricket World Cup kicked off yesterday, taking place in India for the first time, running through to November 19.
The event will be shown across Sky Sports Cricket, Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Mix, Sky Showcase and digitally via the SkyGO and Sky Sports App in the UK. Primetime, free-to-air highlights will also be available on Channel 5 and My5 App for the first time.
In the US, pay TV sports channel WillowTV will house the cricket tournament with coverage also available via the ESPN+ app.
South African provider, SuperSport and the app will broadcast the games in South Africa, along with 52 other Sub-Saharan African territories. Fox Sports and Kayo will deliver Australian coverage of the cup along with select matches on Channel Nine and 9Now. While, in New Zealand programming of the Men’s Cricket World Cup matches will be available via Sky Sport NZ.
Meanwhile, in the UAE and the MENA region, all matches will be live streamed on Starzplay with broadcast coverage via CricLife MAX in the UAE.
Disney’s Indian streaming service, Disney Star, is to also stream the Cricket World Cup in India free-to-view to mobile users.
Other markets which are broadcasting live coverage of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, include Brazil, Singapore, the Netherlands, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan, Canada, Caribbean Islands Afghanistan and Afghanistan.
