MediaKind hires former Comcast exec Ashish Patel

Technology outfit MediaKind has recruited Comcast alum Ashish Patel as president of operator platforms.

In his new role, Patel will be responsible for leading the company’s long-term growth strategy for the TV platforms business.

The exec most recently served as vice president of IP video engineering at Comcast where he built high-availability video workflows, designing cloud and network infrastructure.

Prior to joining Comcast, Patel also held stints at Amazon and Meta. At Amazon Prime Video he was tasked with building deep edge caching solutions and ultra-low latency live linear video streaming solutions. While, lading developer infrastructure engineering at Meta, focused on organisational stability, accountability, and timely solution delivery.

Tony Goncalves, ex-CEO of Otter Media and former CRO of WarnerMedia, also joins MediaKind as strategic advisor. He brings twenty-five years experience to the company, working at DIRECTV, AT&T, Otter Media, and WarnerMedia.
