MásMóvil passes fibre milestone

Spanish service provider MásMóvil has passed 29 million addressable homes with its fibre network in Spain including 2.5 million homes across 1,000 towns and villages with fewer than 20,000 people.

MásMóvil said it had added about 2.2 million commercialisable homes over the last two years, taking its overall total from 26.8 million in September 2021 to over 29 million today.

The company said it had €3,5 billion in the network over the last seven years.

Of the 2.5 million homes in towns with fewer than 20,000 people, MásMóvil said 1.3 million were in towns and villages of fewer thqan 8,000 people.

The predominantly mobile-focused telco said it had also signed up 3.4 million fixed line broadband customers by the end of September.

The company offers converged services over the fibre network via brands Yoigo, MásMóvil, Pepephone, Euskaltel, R, Telecable and Guuk.

“We are very plased to be the number one operator in the Spanish market in terms of the number of homes to which we offer fibre optic services with the highest quality, and that our customers are the most satisfied on the market,” said Meinrad Spengler, CEO of MásMóvil.
