Thailand’s True Digital to enhance OTT platform with XroadMedia
Thailand’s telecommunications and digital service provider, True Digital Group has leveraged XroadMedia’s discovery and personalisation solution to enhance the viewing experience for its OTT service TrueID.
The partnership aims to to enhance the recommendations across the TrueID platform to boost its viewing experience with tailored recommendations for their over 6 million users.
During the trial process, various of XroadMedia’s use cases were tested on the TrueID homepage and on-demand pages, which saw an increase in time spent by more than 25% by creating new recommendation rows and changing the UI based on viewers’ interactions.
After full implementation, customisation will be accessible throughout the entire platform, spanning Live-TV, AVOD, SVOD, and TVOD. All users will have access to a distinctive user interface and individually tailored recommendations. True Digital will retain complete editorial control, allowing editorial teams to shape the content displayed to users. This is complemented by pertinent suggestions derived from user profiles and behaviours, while ensuring compliance with Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and upholding users’ privacy rights.
