Warner Bros. Discovery unveils La Vuelta coverage plans
Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe (WBD) is to livestream the Spanish cycling competition La Vuelta a España which gets underway on August 26 across discovery+, the Eurosport App and GCN+ in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
La Vuelta a España coverage will also include multi-audio feeds of the race with commentary in 16 languages.
While Eurosport 1 will broadcast 73 hours of the tour, with free-to-air programming for viewers in Germany and daily free-to-air highlights in the UK on WBD’s men’s lifestyle channel DMAX.
Former three-time winner Alberto Contador will spearhead WBD’s on-site expert line-up alongside Philippe Gilbert. The former Velo d’Or winners will deliver an access-all-areas experience for viewers along with reporters Sander Kleikers, Laura Meseguer and Louis Pierre Frileux.
Local studio shows will provide a breakdown of the race in the UK (The Breakaway), France (Les Rois de la Pédale), Spain (La Montonera) and Italy (Tour 360).
Vuelta content alongside racing live and on-demand, includes the Racing News Show, World of Cycling, and short highlights which will be available on GCN.
