Women’s sport channel W-Sport launches in Netherlands on KPN
Women’s sport channel W-Sport has launched in the Netherlands on the TV platform of KPN.
The service, available on channel 37 in KPN’s basic package, shows football, motor sports, basketball, volleyball and other women’s sports.
KPN already offers sports via carriage of ESPN, Viaplay and Ziggo Sport and now also for the increasing popularity of women’s sport with W-Sport.

With the launch of W-Sport in the Netherlands, a more diverse range of sport experiences is created and we at KPN can only applaud that,” said Jochem de Jong, VP partnerships, TV and entertainment KPN.

W-Sport has a portfolio of football content with up to eight live football matches per week across major leagues in world football. The Dutch public will be able to watch the English Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL), the German Frauen Bundesliga, the American NWSL and the Swedish Damallsvenskan every week.
In addition, W-Sports covers action from Women’s Volleyball Bundesliga, Super League Triathlon, Netball Super League from the UK and PAC 12 multisports including basketball, gymnastics and American beach volleyball.
W-Sport will also broadcast selected live events in tennis, athletics and boxing and much more.
