Tele Columbus targets DSL users with new offers
German cable operator Tele Columbus is making a concerted drive to attract users of legacy DSL broadband services with a promise of 20% savings on their existing package for more speed.
The operator, which providers services under the PŸUR brand, said DSL users would be guaranteed to pay 20% less for double the speed of their existing DSL service by switching to its HFC DOCSIS footprint network. The offer does not apply to FTTH customers.
The company is targeting internet users with legacy DSL connections and speeds of between 16Mbps and 250Mbps downstream.
PŸUR is also guaranteeing there will be no price increases over the contract period.
For PŸUR’s Pure Surf 50 internet offering, new customers will pay only €19.99 a month, while Pure Surf 250 will be available for €24.99. Pure Speed 500 and 1000 prices remain unchanged at €34.99.
Tele Columbus is also targeting TV users with the new offering. Customers combining HDTV with a 50 or 250Mbps internet product will pay €29.99 or €34.99 respectively.
Collective customers – those whose bill is paid via their rent – will receive an additional €10 discount, enabling them to pay €19.99 for a Kombi 50 product or €24.99 for Kombi 250.
“With the new offers, we are making a more than attractive offer for DSL customers and guarantee a minimum saving of 20% compared to the current contract. But there is also more than double the speed. That’s something to be proud of and underlines once again that PŸUR offers the best price-performance ratio on the market,” said Jochen Busch, Chief Consumer Officer of Tele Columbus.
“Especially with our combination tariffs with internet and television, PŸUR customers get a well-rounded overall package for a slim price. Tenants in collective collection even save €10 on top of that. A DSL contract has never been less attractive for these customers.”
