Polsat Plus launches low-cost ad-supported service in streaming revamp

Polish broadcaster and pay TV operator Polsat Plus Group has launched a new ad-supported subscription streaming package, aimed at customers transitioning from its old Polsat Go offering to its new Polsat Box Go service, that is available for PLN30 for the entire year.

The Polsat Box Go streaming service has added a new package called Start at a promotional price of only PLN30 for the entire year, or PLN 2.5 per month. The package will offer access to over 40,000 hours of series, reality shows, entertainment and news from over 20 channels from the group’s broadcast arm Telewizja Polsat.

The move comes as Polsat prepares to retire its Polsat Go service at the end of August. All existing Polsat Go users will get free access to the new Start package on Polsat Box Go for two months, and will receive information on how to access the offer quickly.

All other customers will be able to get access for the next 12 months for PLN30 for the year.

Polsat Box Go was launched in 2021 by the Polsat Plus Group. From now on, it will offer three main packages: Start, Premium and Sport.

The ad-supported Polsat Box Go Start is complemented by Polsat Box Go Premium, which gives access to over 100 TV channels, premium series and movies, including cinema premieres, and Polsat Box Go Sport with 20 sports channels including key sports competitions and events from Poland and around the world.

“We want to focus on content production. We have decided to turn off Polsat Go and our content will be offered, among others, in the new Polsat Box Go Start package on a subscription and advertising model – a low, promotional fee of PLN30 for the entire year and a small number of advertisements. This is in line with the current trend in the streaming market,” said Stanisław Janowski, President of the Management Board of Telewizja Polsat.

In addition to the Polsat Box Go Premium and Sport packages, we are introducing a new, unique streaming package on the Polish market – Polsat Box Go Start for only PLN30 for the whole year, i.e. PLN 2.5 per month. In one package, we give you access to over 40,000 hours of your favourite cult series, crazy and hot reality shows and hit entertainment. You can watch easily pleasantly what, where, when, on any device,” said Maciej Stec, Vice President of the Management Board for Strategy of Polsat Plus Group.
