TNT Sports debuts in UK with new Premier League season
This Saturday TNT Sports, the new name for the sports JV between BT and Warner Bros. Discovery, kicks off its inaugural season of Premier League coverage at the Emirates Stadium with last season’s runners-up, Arsenal, hosting Nottingham Forest.
Matchday coverage starts at 11.00 on TNT Sports 1, live from the ground, with a new Early Kick-Off show hosted by Jules Breach with Joe Cole and Ally McCoist. The show will run directly into the hour-long build-up to the match to help keep fans connected to all the updates from the ground.
Breach will hand over to Lynsey Hipgrave for the pre-game build-up where she will be joined by Rio Ferdinand and Joe Cole to preview the match. The build-up will include a renewed focus on the latest news and fan views directly from the ground.
This week, pre-match coverage will also include an exclusive interview with Ferdinand and Arsenal’s record summer signing, Declan Rice.
Live coverage of the match starts at 12:30, with the commentary team led by Darren Fletcher alongside McCoist and Breach reporting from the sideline. TNT Sports’ coverage of the match will be capped by post-game analysis from Hipgrave, Ferdinand, Cole and McCoist.
Exclusively live football on TNT Sports coming up includes: UEFA Super Cup: Manchester City v Sevilla (TNT Sports 1, Wednesday 16 August from 19:00); Vanarama National League: Bromley v Barnet (TNT Sports 1, Saturday 12 August from 17:00); Start of the Ligue 1 season: Nice vs Lille (TNT Sports 1, Friday 11th August from 19:45); Start of the Serie A season over the weekend of August 19 and 20 August.
TNT Sports is available through its streaming destination discovery+ and across all major TV platforms including BT, Sky and Virgin Media.
