wedotv lands on oneplus and Sunrise in Switzerland

Swiss-based AVOD and FAST channel platform wedotv has launched on CH Media Entertainment’s oneplus streaming platform and Liberty Global telco operator Sunrise in Switzerland.

CH Media Entertainment is Switzerland’s largest private broadcast group. The company recently launched streaming platform oneplus offers a range of programming  from films, TV series, documentaries and live sports highlights. As part of the agreement, content from wedotv’s library will be made available on the platform under the wedotv brand.

While Sunrise has launched wedotv via its set-top boxes, with the wedotv app preinstalled on the user interface of the devices.

“More cable and IPTV operators are recognizing the added value of AVOD services and FAST channels, in particular the curated wedotv entertainment services.  Customers are receiving even more choice to the networks. At the same time, targeted advertising via dynamic ad replacement opens up new, attractive opportunities for advertisers to address specific target groups,” said Philipp Rotermund, co-CEO and founder of wedotv. “Negotiations are underway with further platform operators to add wedotv and our FAST channels wedo movies, wedo big stories, and wedo sports to their portfolios.”

The launch sees wedotv expand its offerings in the Swiss market, following the recent launch on Zattoo and Samsung TV Plus in the region.
