BBC Player and BBC kids launch in India on Prime Video Channels
BBC Studios, the UK pubcaster’s commercial arm, has launched BBC Player and BBC Kids on Amazon Prime Video Channels in India.
The subscription-based service will provide Indian viewers a curated line-up of British content spanning from original British dramas, comedy, documentaries, factual shows, entertainment to lifestyle programming and children’s shows within a single destination, for the first time in India.
Prime members can purchase an annual add-on subscription to BBC Player for INR599 and enjoy full access to BBC Kids as well. Alternatively, members can also subscribe to BBC Kids only for INR199 annually.
BBC Player will provide a multi-genre content offering including BBC Kids, BBC Studios’ international kids brand.
Content for Indian viewers includes crime thriller Six Four, political thriller The Diplomat and comedies Chivalry and Citizen Khan, while BBC Kids will offer shows such as Hey Duggee, Go Jetters and JoJo & Gran Gran.
