Chess.com ties with Wurl to launch FAST channel

The leading online chess platform Chess.com has partnered with channel solutions provider Wurl to deliver a chess themed FAST channel.

Chess TV will broadcast competitions of the board game such as the Champions Chess Tour, Chess.com Global Chess Championship, the Speed Chess Championship and the World Chess Championship.

Chess.com said its the world largest chess website with over 140 million members worldwide.

Alongside live broadcasts, Chess TV will also air original chess programs such as Street Chess. The docu-series explores the chess scene in select cities, and existing series featuring legendary players such as Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura, Fabiano Caruana and Anish Giri.

Through Wurl’s Global FAST Pass solution, Chess TV will be marketed to streamers worldwide. According to the company, Global FAST Pass is the world’s largest FAST channel network, reaching more than 300 million viewers in 195 countries across 38 streamer brands.
