DAZN partners with Daimani on integrated ticketing service
Sports streamer DAZN has struck a partnership with VIP Hospitality marketplace Daimani to launch an integrated ticket platform for sporting events.
DAZN will embed a ticket exchange into the DAZN app utilising Daimani’s technology which sports fans can purchase tickets for live sports events.
Over time, both companies will work closely to further develop the ticketing marketplace, including developing a shared wallet and personalized user journeys that will suggest relevant events and targeted special offers to fans for their favorite sporting events.
The new ticketing marketplace will launch in Germany, the UK, Italy and Spain ahead of a global roll out.
The joint project will focus on selling tickets to sports leagues and events for which DAZN holds the broadcasting rights. This includes DAZN’s established relationships with all the major football leagues as well global properties like the NFL, NBA, Formula 1 and MotoGP.
DAZN customers will also have access to the official hospitality packages for UEFA EURO 202 and Rugby World Cup 2023, with Daimani an official sales representative and member of the Hospitality Experience AG Group 2024 and the exclusive international Official Hospitality Agent.
As part of the deal, DAZN has the option to acquire equity in Daimani.
DAZN Group CEO Shay Segev said, “The sports entertainment space is extremely fragmented with a growing number of apps and content owners. DAZN is building a frictionless super app for sports fans – a single destination platform where they can enjoy the live game and access the full range of sports related products and services on one app, with one account and one wallet to watch, play, chat, transact and bet. Partnering with DAIMANI marks our entrance into the ticketing business; it is great for us and, more importantly, great for our customers.”
Daimani CEO Max Mueller said, “For us, this is a perfect opportunity: the partnership provides an end-to-end solution for sports consumers, by creating an intuitive, customer-friendly pathway to everything related to live events. It favours Daimani’s mission to make events more accessible to fans and consumers – at their fingertips.”
