Movistar Peru adds Disney+ & Star+ to TV offering
Telefonica’s Movistar Peru has announced it has struck a deal with with The Walt Disney Company Latin America to include the streaming services Disney+ and Star+ to its TV offering in Peru at no extra cost.
The deal will give Movistar customers will have access to Disney+ and Star+ original content in 4K across the Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic brands.
“At Movistar we are committed to providing the best multiplatform entertainment experience to our customers. The streaming services of The Walt Disney Company Latin America, the most relevant player in international sports and entertainment content, are now added to our commitment to exclusive and differential national content,” said José Antonio Cassinelli, Director of Movistar’s B2C Segment. .
Among roster of films and TV series are Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania, Avatar: El Camino Del Agu, Star Wars: The Mandalorian, Limitless, Grey’s Anatomy, The Simpsons, as well as, ESPN content.
Both platforms, Disney+ and Star+, allow their content to be viewed on up to four simultaneous devices, the creation of up to seven profiles and downloads of content on demand or VOD (movies, series, children’s content, among others) on mobile devices.
To gain access to the new offering which launched this month, the holder of the TV service must download and enter the Mi Movistar app to activate their membership.
“Movistar TV’s new value proposition positions us as the operator with the most complete and powerful content offer on the market, which includes both linear television, free access to streaming services Disney+, Star+, as well as Movistar TV App platform, the use of which is supported by our new fiber optic network”, added José Antonio Cassinelli, from Movistar.
