Samsung TV Plus adds new channels in the US

FAST platform Samsung TV Plus has added a slate of new channels in the US spanning music, news and entertainment.

Music video network Vevo has launched its Vevo 2010s channel on Samsung TV Plus.

The music channel joins new entertainment services Get TV, a channel that features characters known to audiences by a single name ­­­– Walker, Magnum, Rockford, Quincy, and Kojak, and Billiard TV, a channels that features over 500 hours of live billiards each year.

Samsung TV Plus has also added AllBLK Gems, a channel featuring black entertainment programming, launched to mark the Juneteenth public holiday.

The platform has also added three additional news channesl, Canda’s CBC News Explore, ABC7 new York and 6abc Phliadelphia.

Vevo recently revealed to DTVE that it was expanding its FAST offering with the debut of its hip hop and R&B channels in the UK, as well as, Vevo’s 70s & 80s channels launching in Spain on Samsung TV Plus later this summer.

Separately, Samsung TV Plus is to air a raft of Christmas holiday-themed movies in July on its own Holiday Movies channel.
