DAZN to stream Rugby European 7s Championship in Germany

Leading sports streaming service DAZN has secured the broadcasting rights to the European Championships for men and women in rugby 7s games in Germany.

DAZN will broadcasts all games for both women and men live across the DAZN app, the linear channel DAZN 2 and games of the women’s teams on the free-to-air channel DAZN RISE .

The 21st edition of the European Rugby Sevens Championship will be held over two stages. The first stage took place in June in the Algarve in Portugal, while the decisions will now be made in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg at the beginning of July. Ireland are in the best starting position among the men , having won the first half of the tournament. France is currently in the lead for women . The two German teams are each in 7th out of twelve places. A total of 68 games will be broadcast live over three days.

In addition, DAZN has secured the broadcasting rights of the North American professional league Premier Rugby 7s for women and men.

There is a total of eight franchises, each with a women’s and a men’s team, and competing against each other in an Eastern and Western conference. Each game last 14 minutes, which is why several games are scheduled in a row on one day. DAZN will broadcast all Premier Rugby 7s games live on its platform.

DAZN’s sport content includes the Bundesliga, UEFA Champions League, LaLiga, Serie A Ligue 1, NFL, NBA,  WNBA, the LPGA Tour, golf, darts, handball , martial arts with the UFC and the UEFA Women’s Champions League, starting in September the women’s national league.
