ELF football taps Qvest for FAST and WSC Sports for AI-powered coverage
American football organisation he European League of Football (ELF) has tapped technology outfit Qvest to provide a full-service FAST channel playout solution.
The pair said that with free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels, the ELF will be able to reach more sports fans worldwide in a viewer friendly, flexible, immersive, and engaging way.
Qvest will power up the American Football experience with its latest all-in-one cloud playout product makalu.
The software schedules, plays, and manages content online from the cloud. makalu automatically optimizes the video content for streaming on all selected platforms.
As the Technology Partner for FAST channel playout, Qvest will initially take care of the housing, hosting and operation of the channels of the league in Germany and the UK.
“This new partnership with Qvest will not only be a benefit to us as a league, but especially to the 17 teams across Europe and their fans. Qvest enables us to use advertising pools, to concentrate on American Football content we are promoting globally and bringing the league closer to fans worldwide,” said Zeljko Karajica, CEO of the European League of Football.
AI-powered video-fo-sports specialist WSC Sports has meanwhile struck a multi-year partnership with the ELF ahead of the latter’s competition’s third season which kicks-off on June 3.
The deal will see WSC Sports provide Europe’s American Football league with a suite of AI-powered solutions, including the automated creation of video content for all formats and dynamic graphics. In addition, WSC Sports’ technology will be applied to the ELF’s video library ensuring archive content is available instantly, WSC Sports said.
WSC Sports said its AI solutions will enable the ELF to create and distribute a range of video content around its 107 games this season. This content will serve football fans across the globe via the ELF’s OTT streaming platform and social media channels.
Karajica said: “WSC Sports’ cutting-edge artificial technology is an end-to-end solution that allows the European League of Football to publish content instantly, at scale. The potential seems almost infinite, and we are very happy to have secured such an innovative partner.”
Founded in 2020, the ELF is a professional American football league featuring 17 teams from nine nations: Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Spain, and Switzerland, with plans to expand to 24 teams by 2025. One newcomer for the 2024 season has already been confirmed with Madrid becoming the 18th location of the league.
