wedotv launches AVOD and FAST services on LG

The Swiss-based AVOD and FAST channel outfit, wedotv has launched on the LG app store worldwide, with its FAST channels wedo big stories and wedo movies rolling out across Europe on the LG Channels smart TV platform.

The AVOD service is now available to download from the LG Content Store. While, wedo movies launching on LG Channels in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and the UK, with wedo big stories joining LG Channels throughout Europe over the next month.

The film service wedo movies features popular high-quality contemporary films in easy-to-navigate categories, such as comedy, retro action, classic crime stories, vintage horror, classic westerns, thrillers and more. wedo big stories focuses on nature and science documentaries, as well as outdoor/adventure programming from factual entertainment production house Big Media.

The announcement was made today by Philipp Rotermund, co-CEO of wedotv who said, “As we strive to bring our free, ad-supported services to viewers around the world, LG has been an incredible partner.”

Mainly distributed in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the UK, wedotv has been growing its presence across Europe this year, with its recent launch on Samsung TV Plus in Italy.
