Ted Lasso leads Parrot’s top 10 for Belgium
Apple TV+ football comedy Ted Lasso has risen to the top for Parrot Analytics’ originals in-demand chart for the week running 21 – 27 May in Belgium.
Parrot Analytics analyses the demand for recent popular digital titles across international markets, based on the application of artificial intelligence to expressions of demand across social media, fan sites, peer-to-peer protocols and file-sharing platforms.
Parrot’s dataset compares the demand that exists for each series in this market, against the average TV show. A difference of 1x represents the market average and 10x means a series is 10 times more in demand than the average TV show in this market.
The sitcom starring Jason Sudekis attracted 15.53 times the average TV show rating, compared to Apple’s sci-fi drama, For All Mankind ,which favoured less with audiences in Belgium after landing tenth on the chart. Silo from Apple TV+ also charted fourth on the chart.
Disney+ Star Wars spinoff series The Mandalorian continues to perform well in second, scoring 11.82 times the average TV show rating. While the Disney+ original Andor only garnered 6.3 times the average TV show rating. The Handmaid’s Tale from Disney-owned Hulu also featured in the chart in fifth place.
Superhero action series, The Boys, secured third spot for Amazon Prime Video and also charted in sixth with The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power which scored 7.68 times the average TV show rating.
Netflix shows failed to pull bigger numbers in Belgium, with new series XO, Kitty in seventh and Stranger Things in eighth.
