Change of CEO for Orange France and Orange Spain
Telecom giant Orange has named current Orange España CEO Jean-François Fallacher as CEO of Orange France from April 3. He will replace Fabienne Dulac, who after eight years at the helm of the French operation, is to move to another position within the Group. Dulac will remain on the executive committee and will contribute to the deployment of the French operation’s upcoming strategic plan.
As CEO of Orange Spain, Fallacher will be replaced by Ludovic Pech, the current chief financial officer of Orange Middle East and Africa. Fallacher will remain a member of Orange Spain’s board of directors.
Joining Orange in 2006, Fallacher has since held key functions including CEO of Sofrecom, a consulting company specializing in the telecoms sector, and from 2011 to 2016, CEO of Orange Romania. Between 2016 and September 2020, he was the CEO for Orange Polska.
Dulac joined France Telecom in 1997 in the newly created Multimedia Division, then extended her responsibilities to oversee all the group’s multimedia activities within its subsidiaries such as Wanadoo, Voila and Mappy.
For the next decade, she held various roles in marketing, business development and customer relations, and in 2008 became Director of Sales and Online Customer Relations at Orange France where she launched the business digital transformation programme. In 2011, she became head of the Orange North France division, then in 2013, she was appointed Orange France director of communication, before becoming Orange France CEO in 2015.
Christel Heydemann, CEO of Orange, said: “I would like to thank Fabienne Dulac for her commitment over eight years as head of Orange France. Through her action, she has strengthened the network leadership and customer excellence of Orange in France. During this time, Orange played an essential role in the success of the deployment of fibre in France. Thanks to her work and that of her teams, France can today boast of having the most extensive Fiber network in Europe. We will continue to work together in the coming months. I am delighted to now welcome Jean-François Fallacher as the new head of Orange France. I know I can count on his very solid international experience and on his operational expertise to continue to develop Orange’s leadership in France in the service of our customers.”
