Canadian sports broadcaster TSN launches streaming service TSN+
Leading Canadian sports broadcaster TSN has launched a new streaming platform called TSN+. Details of the new service came as the Bell Canada Enterprises-owned business also announced that it is now Canada’s exclusive home to PGA Tour Live.
All told, the deal with the golf event organiser will give English-language service TSN+ a total of 4,300 hours of exclusive coverage from PGA Tour events throughout the season. Starting immediately, there will be a limited time free preview.
In addition to PGA Tour Live, TSN+ will offer coverage of the NTT Indycar Series; new augmented NFL feeds for every playoff game and the Super Bowl; and the re-launch of the XFL, beginning Feb. 18. There will also be content from Spanish soccer league LaLiga, the NCAA, the NBA, F1, Nascar and the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments.
TSN says the new streamer will provide access to marquee live games and events that are incremental to the content delivered across TSN’s existing platforms. Currently, it is rolling out across platforms including Android TV, Apple TV, Xbox One, Roku TV, LG Smart TV, Samsung SmartTV, and Amazon Fire TV/Stick.
“We are excited to expand our PGA Tour partnership,” said Shawn Redmond, VP, Bell Media Sports. “TSN+ is the perfect complement to TSN, and we look forward to bringing more live sports and innovative content to Canadians.”
The TSN+ programming line-up also features access to the TSN+ Doc Collection, an on-demand library of more than 200 acclaimed titles including HBO and ESPN films.
