Norlys names new fibre business sales chief
Danish service provider Norlys, which owns the Stofa cable and pay TV operator, has named Ole Andersen as the new sales director for its fibre business.
Based at Norlys’ head office in Silkeborg, he will be responsible for Norlys Fibernet’s sales activities towards 13 internet and TV service providers as well as several partnerships in a newly established sales department.
Andersen was previously global account manager at Siemens Gamesa.
Since Norlys opened up its fibre network in 2020, Denmark has seen significant growth in players entering the residential and business markets, according to the company. Norlys Fibernet provides services to five fibre network owners, including RAH Fiberbredbånd, ThyMors Energi and Nord Energi. Norlys also has a number of agreements with developers and housing associations regarding the establishment of fibre for new builds and established housing.
“In our journey towards becoming a more nationwide player in the fibre market and the business market, builders and housing associations are absolutely crucial. I am looking forward to having Ole Andersen on the team to lift relations with our customers and partners even more,” said Torben Poulsen, director of Norlys’ fiber business.
“I see Norlys as a company with great ambitions and vision in all the business areas they throw themselves into – this makes Norlys an incredibly exciting company. In addition, I am looking forward to becoming part of a strong team where we work together to remain Denmark’s largest and most professional supplier of fibre networks,” said Andersen.
