FilmRise hires Vudu’s Gagliardi to drive FAST growth

Film and TV streaming network FilmRise has announced the hire of Daniel Gagliardi as vice president, digital distribution and business development.

Gagliardi will be charged with leading the growth and optimisation of FilmRise AVOD and FAST channels, while implementing new strategies for FilmRise’s AVOD and FAST partners around the world. He reports to Melissa Wohl, SVP, head of sales for FilmRise.

The exec joins from Vudu, where he served as head of content. There, initiatives driven by Gagliardi resulted in a three-fold increase in Vudu’s usage, while he also played an important role in Vudu’s partnerships with the likes of Disney, Warner Brothers and Pluto TV.
