Agile Content names new corporate director

Video distribution technology outfit Agile Content has named Alfonso Zapata, a former ING Direct executive, as its new corporate director.

With experience in the digital banking sector, Zapata is joining Agile Content with the aim of driving its international growth strategy. The company said. He will support finance, human resources, and legal activities, with a focus on integrating M&A, process improvements and performance monitoring.

Agile Content said it hired Zapata for his financial and legal knowledge and expertise in the development of companies in the European digital ecosystem. He worked at ING for more than 20 years, occupying different executive positions including CEO and CFO of Spain, France, and Italy. He played an integral role in the launch and international expansion of digital banking operation ING Direct.
