DTVE unveils details of latest digital symposium
Digital TV Europe has announced dates for its latest digital symposium, featuring sessions on FAST channels, addressable advertising and app-based viewing, among other things.
The last year has seen an unprecedented acceleration of change in the video distribution business, including the migration of consumption from broadcast to streaming video pushing consolidation, an intensifying battle for the attention of consumers, and a big shift in the strategies of established players across the entire value chain.
Join DTVE in partnership with research powerhouse Omdia for our Autumn symposium on the underlying factors driving change in digital video and the likely consequences. Industry experts including video service providers, technologists, and top analysts discuss some of the big trends, challenges, and opportunities facing the industry.
Symposium sessions:
Day One – 6 October
4pm BST: FAST Channels: The Rise of Linear Streaming
What do rightsholders need to do to meet the growing demand for free linear streaming services and how can they maximise the lifetime value of their content?
Day Two – 19 October
3pm BST: Addressable Advertising: Making the Most of Content
Addressable advertising will be key to monetising video, but what role can service providers adopt and what role will the cloud play in delivering targeted advertising more efficiently?
Day Three – 26 October
3pm BST: TV as an App
Consumers are now switching to app-based consumption but how can service providers cater to this shift at scale?
Day Four – 2 November
3pm GMT: The Future of the Set-Top Box
Is the set-top box, the workhorse of the pay TV industry, still fit for purpose? How will the different technology choices facing service providers shape the future of the industry?
