Vodafone Spain ramps up TV push with promo and converged package
Vodafone España is ramping up its TV marketing efforts by promising a free TV package to customers over the summer months.
The operator is offering a free package between now and September 15, with users allowed to choose between its sports, documentaries, kids, music and Pack Caza – hunting – packages or third-party services Acorn TV or Planet Horror.
Mobile and fixed subscribers can sign up for the free package via the Mi Vodafone app until July 31. Subscribers without the Vodafone set-top box can benefit from the offering by viewing Vodafone TV via the online app on smart TVs, smartphones, tablets, PCs, Amazon Fire TV sticks and Chromecast – a move that enables Vodafone to market the service to potential new users.
Vodafone is also introducing a new high-end converged package from July 1 – Vodafone One Illimitada X2 – with a focus on TV. Those signing up can benefit from the free summer TV offering.
The new package offers two mobile lines with unlimted data via 5G with the possibility of signing up for three additional lines at €15per line. Users will be able to chose broadband at 300Mbps, 600Mbps or 1Gbps, along with Vodafone TV Plus x2 Series, a TV offering that combines HBO España and Amazon Prime with Prime Video and a range of channels including Fox, TNT Syfy, TCM, Sundance TV, Selekt, AMC, Nat Geo, DeCasa, Cana Cocina, MyMTV Music, MTV, Sol Música and Eurosport 1.
Other elements include on-demand services FOXNOW, AXN Now, AMC Selekt and National Geograpbhic Now and movies-on-deand, and a 4K set-top.
The service costs €42.50 for the first three months and €84.99 thereafter.
