Amazon Prime Video launches on Proximus
Amazon Prime Video has launched on Proximus’s TV platform in Belgium, available direct from the latest generation of Proximus Android TV set-tops.
The agreement, integrating the Prime Video app on the Android box, means that Proximus customers with an Amazon Prime membership and the relevant device will be able to access the app direct.
The move will bring Prime content including True Story, Mylène Farmer and global titles The Boys and The Marvelous Mrs Maisel to Proximus customers with Amazon Prime membership.
Proximus customers who haven’t yet signed up for an Amazon Prime account can subscribe to the service via the Prime Video app from on the Proximus decoder.
“I am thrilled with this collaboration with Amazon Prime Video. It reflects our new ‘Inspire 2022’ strategy as well as our ‘Think Possible’ brand promise, which motivates us every day to offer our users access, via our various Pickx platforms, not only to the best content but, above all, to the content of their choice,” said Stefaan Herick, director of content partnerships and sponsorship at Proximus.
“The integration of the Prime Video application on the latest generation of our TV decoder also perfectly illustrates the world of digital and technological opportunities offered to our customers thanks to our latest Android TV decoder.”
Proximus is the latest in a series of partnerships struck by Amazon for the Prime Video app. Last week Portuguese service provider Meo made the service available to customers with its MEOBox 4K, MEO Android TV and Apple TV,
