Technetix names new business development chief
Broadband cable technology specialist Technetix has named Mark Basham as VP of business development, Europe.
Basham joins Technetix following six years as VP of business development at Edgecore Networks, a subsidiary of Accton, an outsourced development manufacturer of network routers. His career prior to that has been in sales, engineering and project management roles for broadband network vendor companies including Intune Networks, Tellabs and Marconi, as well as network operators Mercury and Cable & Wireless.
His role at Technetix will include helping the company’s customers develop their broadband networks with an FTTx range of products including the VS Virtual Fibre data overlay transmission system, the MicroPlug OLT system, the InCoax solution for Ethernet over coax and a range of internal and external fibre management products. He will also be responsible for the company’s x-Haul solutions for mobile operators.
“Mark is an outstanding addition to the Technetix team as he brings us a deep blend of experience from a wide range of broadband networks. Mark’s sales leadership will accelerate Technetix’ growth in new broadband segments. We are thrilled to have him join us,” said Paul Broadhurst, CEO of Technetix.
“I am honoured to join the Technetix team and build on and broaden the solid foundation of innovative cable access products built over the last thirty years. Technetix is perfectly positioned to expand its FTTx and x-Haul business” said Basham.
