Com Hem offers Apple TV 4K
Tele2-owned Swedish cable operator Com Hem has begun offering Apple TV 4K boxes as part of a subscription offering.
With Apple TV 4K, Com Hem customers ae able to watch content from Com Hem Play, the operator’s streaming service, as well as Apple TV channels, Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade and Airplay-compatible apps.
Subscribers who sign up will be able to access Apple TV+ free of charge for one year as part of the package. The service normally costs SEK59 a month.
Customers can sign up for the offering at the Com Hem website or by contacting the operator’s customer services representatives. The offering costs SEK79 a month for a 24-month contract, SEK159 for a 12 month contract or SEK1,890 as a one-off fee.
Com Hem is the latest in a growing line of service providers to offer Apple TV 4K as an alternative device for customers, as operators look to tap into demand from consumers to watch content on other devices.
“We at Com Hem want to offer our TV customers the smartest solutions for modern TV viewing. You want to be able to easily go from streaming a series episode to putting on your music playlist, and that kind of TV experience has never been easier than with Apple TV 4K,” said Samuel Skott, commercial manager at Com Hem.
