Ocilion signs 10 new operators for IPTV offering

Austria-based IPTV aggregator Ocilion has signed up 10 new network operators for its white label TV offering.

In Germany, Stadtwerke Bad Nauheim, Stadtwerke Hammelburg, Speedloc of Görlitz, Dessau-based Datel and Stadtwerke Merseburg have begun offering their own IPTV services using Ocilion, while in Austria, Energie Steiermark, Feistritzwerke, Studenzen-based Xinon, tirolnet and Stadtwerke Imst have also selected the company to provide their TV services.

Energie Steiermark is one of the four largest energy providers in Austria, with around 600,000 customers. Ocilion is also providing TV servides to state energy companies Wien Energie of Vienna and Energie AG of Upper Austria.

Ocilion supplies network operators and public utilities in the German-speaking market with a complete IPTV system including 4K set top boxes, apps, an integrated video library and broadcasting rights.

Operators have the choice between local integration of the service on-premises or a wholesale cloud solution.

Ocilion said that with the addition of these 10 new customers, over 60 network operators and municipal utilities have opted for the the company’s IPTV solution.

Hans Kühberger, managing director of Ocilion IPTV Technologies said: “More and more network operators are choosing their own IPTV service. The Ocilion IPTV solution offers large and small operators alike the opportunity to quickly start a future-proof TV service on their behalf. For all providers who are currently expanding their fibre optic network, this is the motor to get even more end customers to connect.”
