Seraphic unveils Sraf Freeview Play 2020 complaint solution
TV software maker Seraphic Information Technology has announced the launch of its Freeview Play 2020 compliant solution.
Freeview Play is an OTT expansion of the UK’s FTA DTT platform. It offers access to more than 70 channels for free and programmes from BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, My5 and UKTV Play sitting alongside live television in its EPG. It is the UK’s fastest growing TV platform with more than seven million monthly active users.
Seraphic’s ready-to-deploy Freeview Play solution adds support for companion screen and media synchronisation features, which it says can “enrich user interaction scenarios.”
The Sraf Freeview Play solution is a Blink-based software product which has been pre-integrated into mainstream DTV SoCs. Seraphic als enables Freeview Play on Linux and Android platforms, which it says gives its clients high flexibility to design their Freeview Play products.
Xinwen Xue, VP product management at Seraphic, said, “SERAPHIC has been committed to following Freeview Play since its first edition and has extensive deployment experience. Seraphic always puts clients first and keeps up with the latest technology trends to deliver flexible and particularly efficient solutions to our clients.”
