Eurochannel to launch on Swisscom TV
European cinema channel Eurochannel will launch on Swisscom.
The operator announced that the channel is now available to Swisscom TV subscribers in a German language version on the Top Deutsch+ package and as a French language version on the Top Français+ package.
Marking the launch of the channel on Swisscom, Eurochannel will offer a selection of more than 80 exclusive European films and TV series such as British cult TV series The Avengers and new medical drama Lifeline.
Gustavo Vainstein, Eurochannel’s CEO said: “We are pleased to expand our presence in Switzerland and launch the German version of Eurochannel. We thank Swisscom for their trust in our award-winning content and the opportunity to reach a wide audience in Switzerland.”
The France-based channel launched in 1994, originally in Brazil by Televisão Abril. It was subsequently released by DirecTV before being acquired in 200 by a joint venture of Multithematiques Inc. (a subsidiary of Canal+) and Vivendi.
