Vodafone Deutschland revamps legal and regulatory team
Cable and mobile operator Vodafone Deutschland has revamped the structure of its legal and regulatory management team following the departure of Christoph Clément at the end of Vodafone’s financial year.
Clément, who was previously member of the executive board for legal, regulatory, public affairs, compliance and corporate security, left the company at his own request to pursue other activities.
Vodafone has now split the role in two, appointing Stefanie Reichel as director of legal and compliance and Michael Jungwirth s director of public policy and external affairs.
Reichel joined Vodafone last year as head of compliance and corporate security. She was previously general counsel of Zurich Insurance Group in Germany.
Jungwirth was previously responsible for public policy and the general secretariat at Vodafone Deutschland. Prior to joining Vodafone he was head of human resources and regulation at Telekom Austria.
“Christoph Clément has led us through numerous difficult passages in the past few years with strategic foresight, political expertise and a high degree of integrity. I thank him for his work and wish him all the best for the future,” said Vodafone Deutschland CEO Hannes Ametsreiter.
“At the same time, I am pleased that with Stefanie Reichel and Michael Jungwirth we were able to appoint experienced managers from our own ranks for new, challenging tasks at Vodafone. I look forward to us working together.”
