Europa Way to launch Fly HD DTT platform in Italy

Italian broadcaster Europa Way has announced the launch of a new DTT platform.

Fly HD will be a pay-TV platform that broadcasts in HDR 4K on Italy’s DTT network through the use of the DVB-T2 standard.

The service will offer eight channels with new movies available to view as pay-per-view. It will also launch an international movie platform.

Fly HD will use the Nagravision encryption system, and is to be hosted by the R2 technology platform provided by Mediaset.

Europa Way, formerly known as Europa 7, also announced a dongle with DVB-T2 receiver to make it possible to view Fly HD on smartphones and tablets.
