Digital TV Europe and TBI launch VideoTech Innovation Awards

Digital TV Europe and sister publication TBI are launching the VideoTech Innovation Awards, recognising innovation and achievement in video distribution and the underlying technology platforms that enable it.

The inaugural VideoTech Innovation Awards will take place in London on December 3, at the historic 116 Pall Mall. This exciting new awards programme will honour initiatives and innovations that have enhanced the business of video distribution and the video consumer experience.

The VideoTech Innovation Awards builds on the success of the Content Innovation Awards, the highly-coveted awards programme that Digital TV Europe and TBI organise in Cannes every year.

The Content Innovation Awards is evolving to focus on recognising outstanding initiatives in content creation and distribution while the VideoTech Innovation Awards will honour innovation in bringing video services to end users from broadcasters, TV operators and OTT companies, and their technology provider partners.

The VideoTech Innovation Awards will recognise achievement across 20 categories, including Advanced TV Innovation of the Year, TV App of the Year, OTT TV service of the Year, the UX Award, Live Streaming Initiative of the Year, AI and Machine Learning Innovation of the Year and Video Technologist of the Year.

“The tremendous level of excitement generated by the Content Innovation Awards over the last few years made us realise that there was a space for a dedicated Awards programme to honour innovation in platforms and the technologies that underpin them as well as innovation in content creation and marketing,” said Stuart Thomson, editorial director of Digital TV Europe and TBI.
