M7 Deutschland teams up with BrightBlue
Pay TV provider M7 Group’s German subsidiary M7 Deutschland has teamed up with BrightBlue, the white-label IPTV platform launched by fibre network provider Deutsche Glasfaser last year, to collaborate on the provision of IPTV content to FTTH operators.
BrightBlue has integrated M7’s TV packages for distribution to FTTH providers. The partnership agreement will give BrightBlue access to over 140 channels from the likes of RTL, ProSiebenSat.1 and other German-language and international channels for distribution to potential or current customers for M7 content.
Current customers for the service include Inexio, Stiegeler IT and Deutsche Glasfaser itself.
Christian Heinkele, managing director of Eviso Germany GmbH, the M7’s partner for marketing and channel management, said that the agreement would enable FTTH operators to enter the IPTV market without investing in their own platforms.
Uwe Nickl, managing director of BrightBlue/Deutsche Glasfaser, said that the group’s advanced TV solution meant that network partners would no longer need to invest in expensive platforms from vendors.
