M7 Deutschland extends deal with FTTH operator

International pay TV operator M7 Group’s German subsidiary M7 Deutschland has extended an agreement with fibre-to-the-home network operator Deutsche Glasfaser to provide IPTV services across the latter’s network.

The agreement means that Deutsche Glasfaser customers will continue to receive around 80 German and international channels from the M7 portfolio.

Christian Heinkele, CEO of Eviso Deutschland, M7’s local marketing and channel management partner, said that the partnership between the pair would provide an incentive for the group to continuously optimise its TV entertainment line-up.

Uwe Nickl, managing director of Deutsche Glasfaser, said that M7 had proved to be a reliable partner for the provision of high-quality TV content and rights and noted that both companies were regarded as drivers of innovation.
