Euskaltel teams up with MásMóvil for mobile equipment procurement

Spanish regional cable operator Euskaltel has teamed up with alternative telco MásMóvil and mobile phone retailer Phone House to create a JV to procure equipment including terminals, routers and accessories.

The new outfit, Mediabuying Technologies Group, has the goal of centralising purchase of mobile terminals, routers and other accessories in order to realise scale economies.

The trio said that the move would provide synergies through the simplification of their procurement processes. Each participant will maintain their independence and ability to take strategic decision regarding mobile equipment and other equipment included in the agreement.

MásMóvil and Phone House will each have 45% stakes in the venture, with Euskaltel taking a 10% stake.
