Salt adds raft of new services to TV platform

Swiss service provider Salt has added a raft of new services including, this week, one of a range of packages targeted at expatriate groups living in Switzerland, Le Bouquet Portugais from French channel aggregator Thema.

The Portuguese package will be available without long-term contract commitments for CHF9.95 (€8.73) a month and offers four channels: generalist channels TVi Internacional and Canal Q and telenovelas and series channel TVi Fiçcao and sports channel A Bola TV.

The addition of the Portuguese offering is one of a range of new packages targeting Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Serbian, Albanian, Bosnian and Turkish audiences with a total of about 50 new channels.

Last week Salt announced the launch of 4K UHD TV services on its fibre network, with a 4K offering that includes Ambiance 4K, Now 4K and Stingray’s Festival 4K alongside Insight TV.

Salt has also added TV by Canal, a package targeted at Switzerland’s French-speaking region with 40 channels, available at no extra charge.

The latest additions come eight months after the launch of Salt TV, which was launched by the operator using the Apple TV platform.
