SES sees revenues edge up but video distribution falls
SES saw its year-to-date revenues edge upwards at constant exchange rates as of the end of September, with sales of €1489 billion up 0.4% on the previous year at constant currency.
Underlying revenue from SES’s core businesses was up 2.1%, with revenue from SES Networks offsetting a dip from SES Video.
SES turned in an operating profit of €404.3 million for the year to date, down 7.2% at constant currency.
In the video segment, growth in video services partly offset lower video distribution revenue. Video distribution dipped by 4.3% in constant currency terms to €734.7 million, hit by lower revenues in the US with the switch off of SD channels, while video services climbed by 3.5% to €242.7 million.
SES Networks, which covers mobile, government and data services, saw underlying revenue grow by 13.6% at constant currency to €478.1 million.
““Our focus on execution continues to generate strong financial performance, delivering growth in absolute and underlying revenue, and we remain on track to deliver on our year-end financial outlook,” said president and CEO Steve Collar.
