Channel 4 adds Google Assistant voice controls for All 4

Channel 4 has integrated its All 4 on-demand service with Google Assistant across Google’s family of Home devices.

The step means that All 4 viewers can use Google Home and Google Home Mini devices to ask the Google Assistant to play shows from All 4 on Chromecast.

“We have a great track record in partnering with platforms on new innovations, so we’re really excited to be able to launch our first major voice integration with Google, enabling viewers to watch Channel 4 shows quickly on their big screens at home,” said Carl Pfeiffer, head of distribution and platform partnerships, Channel 4.

Edward Kenney, head of UK product partnerships, Google Home, added: “We are delighted that Channel 4 viewers in the UK will be able to easily access their favourite TV programmes using simple voice commands.
