Cosmote TV secures Greek rights to La Liga

Greek telco OTE’s Cosmote TV service has renewed the exclusive TV broadcasting rights for Spain’s La Liga for another three-year period until 2021.

The agreement adds to Cosmote TV’s rights to UEFA’s Champions League and Europa League.

In addition to linear TV, La Liga games will be available via the Cosmote TV Go and Cosmote Replay TV on-demand services.

“Over the past six years, Cosmote TV has been the exclusive broadcaster in Greece of La Liga Santander – one of Europe’s most exciting football tournaments. We are delighted to renew our agreement for another 3-year period so that our subscribers will continue to watch the Spanish league games, along with the majority of all international premium sports. At Cosmote TV, we consistently look for new, fascinating content, as well as advanced services that enhance viewer experience”, said Dimitris Michalakis, Cosmote TV executive Director.
