Home theatre specialist Kaleidescape taps NexGuard for 4K UHD
Kudelski-owned digital watermarking specialist NexGuard has struck a deal with home theatre specialist Kaleidescape to provide its technology to secure early-release 4K UHD movies with HDR support on Kaleidescape products.
NexGuard’s watermarking solution has been integrated in Kaleidescape’s movie players to protect content including early release 4K movies that offer HDR and lossless multichannel audio support.
Forensic watermarking is part of the MovieLabs specifications for enhanced content protection for 4K UHD movies.
Kaleidescape designs and manufactures movie players and servers that connect to high-end movie projectors and displays for home theaters in the home, as well as for superyachts and private jets.
The company’s Movie Store provides a catalogue of mvoies in Blu-ray or 4K UHD quality, available on-demand.
