Com Hem and Boxer launch TV podcast service
Swedish cable operator Com Hem and its digital-terrestrial pay TV arm Boxer have launched a new short-form ‘TV podcast’ service that is available to Com Hem and Boxer Play customers.
The new service, Podd TV, features short-form shows spanning music, popular culture, home and lifestyle content. Podd TV is being produced in collaboration with Consurge Content Bureau.
Among the first shows to be made available is Holy Mary, featuring Swedish comedian Mia Skäringer and guests including local personalities Nino Ramsby, Anna Mannheimer and Christian Kjellvander.
The show is sponsored by a local restaurant chain. Each show on Podd TV will be supported by an individual sponsor and the service will not include traditional advertising breaks, according to Com Hem.
Other shows on the service will include Kungliga TV-Magasinet, about Swedish and global royal families, featuring commentator ‘Royal’ Roger Lundgren and journalist Mia Rossling, literature programme Sjölins Akademi med Daniel Sjölin, cooking programme Om kocken själv får välja and home-building show 24 timmar Pirre.
